Entities
Entities are the subjects tracked in Workduo to monitor your brand’s presence, reputation, and competitive standing in AI-generated responses from platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google AI Overviews. An Entity can be a Company (e.g., a brand or organization) or a Person (e.g., a founder or executive). From a user perspective, your Primary Entity is typically your brand, company name, or organization, serving as the core focus of your monitoring project. Entities are categorized into three types to provide comprehensive insights: Primary, Related, and Competitors.
Entity Categories
Primary
The main entity tracked in your project, representing the core brand, company, or person you aim to monitor. All metrics (Visibility, Share of Voice, Sentiment) center on this entity.
Example: Acme Limited, your brand or organization, tracked for mentions in AI responses to queries like "Best digital marketing agencies 2025."
Related
Entities associated with the Primary Entity, such as subsidiaries, sub-brands, or key individuals like founders or executives. These are monitored to capture additional context or reputation insights.
Example: For Acme Limited, Related Entities might include Acme Analytics (a subsidiary), Acme SEO (a sub-brand), or Jane Doe (CEO of Acme Limited).
Competitors
Entities in the same industry or market as your Primary Entity, monitored to benchmark performance and compare market presence. Competitors help calculate Share of Voice and contextualize Sentiment.
Example: For Acme Limited, Competitors might include Competitor A and Competitor B, tracked in queries like "Best digital marketing agencies 2025."
